By now, you should be somewhat familiar with “real life superheroes“, right? Take this guy for example, an anonymous vigilante from Bradford, England dressed up as the Dark Knight (the classic version of Batman with the spandex, not the cool Christopher Nolan costume). Authorities were rather dumbfounded when they saw Batman bring in a wanted criminal.
Police report the man who was brought into the police station was wanted for burglary and fraud offenses. The 27-year old was brought in the police station on February 25 during early hours.
One West Yorkshire Police finds the arrest suspicious, and believes the possibility that the wanted man is friends with Batman on account that being turned in this way was questionable. The officer added, “We do not know the identity of the man dressed as Batman and do not know if he is friends with the man who was handed in.”
As for Batman, one person might know who the man behind the mask is. Kathryn Sutcliffe of Kirkgate Market’s The Joke Shop reported that a man went into her shop asking for a Batman costume and insisted that he wanted the classic Bat suit as opposed to the popular Dark Knight suit.
Sutcliffe does have the man’s name from the receipt since he paid with a credit card, but she ultimately decided it’d be best to keep his identity a secret.
