Ever since Christopher Dorner, the ex-LAPD cop who’s wanted for the 2013 shootings in SoCal, first became relevant to the world, he has since became a hero on the Internet, mainly for those who lurk on /b/ and affiliate with Anonymous. Upset that their new hero, or their “Dark Knight”, is on the run from a manhunt, Anonymous has now taken it upon itself to take on the LAPD with their latest operation: #OperationDorner.
The Dorner manhunt has been met with a lot of criticism from Anonymous, as they continually point the fingers at the LAPD as the real criminals, shrouded in hypocrisy.
Dorner was not born a killer he was a law abiding citizen that was tainted by the corrupt and inhumane practices of the Los Angeles Police Department who serve only themselves.
We however do not accept this fate, and call upon our brothers to raise arms against the LAPD, for justice and for the lulz we will rise to disrupt, dismantle and dissect all aspects of the manhunt whilst revealing the LAPD’s unwarranted hypocrisy.
We are hated, vilified, and like Dorner, considered to be enemies to the state. But there are those who whisper that we are culture and a necessity that bring truth to a cloaked world. In this spirit we will forge ahead and allow #OperationDorner to commence!
Of course, like always, Anonymous has taken it to YouTube and Pastebin to carry out their operation, all while DDoS’ing (which the LAPD denied the claim that Anonymous hacked their site) and posting dox. While this may not be the first time Anonymous targeted the police, they certainly mean business in their new war against the LAPD.
